A portrait of a Hawksbill Turtle with float syndrome. She was unable to descend due to gas build up in her body from illness. We rescued her in the Exmouth Gulf in Western Australia. Many turtles that develop this condition get it from ingesting plastics in the water. It can be fatal for the animal.
