Cosmic Oceans

This series is ongoing with no potential end in sight. It is a juxtaposition of two of my greatest inspirations: the Ocean and Astronomy. In bringing together the two least explored environments we know of, I invite you to look more closely at each and be reminded of how complex, beautiful and essential the oceans are for our existence on a level both biological, and cosmically emotional. I invite you also to take a moment to reflect on the knowledge that we are not alone in this universe as no matter what may lay beyond the stars, there is other sentient life right here on our precious blue planet and we have a duty to protect it.

Star Birth

Inspired by the incredible images coming out of the James Webb Space Telescope, “Star Birth” is a representation of the Pillars of Creation; a deep space nebula where stars are born. With just one pillar being over 7 Light Years high, I pondered what creature could possibly hold space next to such a colossal amphitheatre. Only the majestic Blue Whale, the largest animal ever to exist on our humble planet, seemed worthy.
